Nutella French toast has cocoa infused into each slice of brioche! The French toast is cooked until golden brown, smothered with Nutella, and topped with bananas!
½cupNutella or any other hazelnut chocolate spread
2large bananas, sliced
Confectioners sugar, maple syrup and hazelnuts(optional)

Instructions
Heat a griddle to medium heat.
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cocoa powder, cinnamon and sugar until everything is well incorporated.
Heat ½ tablespoon butter in a pan over medium heat.
Working in batches, dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure it is well coated. Transfer to the hot pan and cook for around 3 minutes per side or until golden brown.
Spread about 1 tablespoon Nutella over the French toast, add banana slices, and top with another slice of French toast. Repeat the process until you have a thick stack, and have used all the bananas.
Dust with confectioners sugar and drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
Notes
This recipe has a lot of sweet toppings which is why it only calls for 1 tablespoon sugar. If you are not going to be serving it with sweet toppings, increase sugar to 3 tablespoons.
Make sure your bread has a thick cut. It makes the French toast more sturdy (and also more delicious!)
